Gulab jamun is a milk solid substance.It was made mainly from milk solids,from khoya (kova), mainly indian will prepare for festivals.

In Indian subcontinent, milk solids are prepared by heating milk over a low flame for a long time until the water content has evaporated and only the milk solids remain. These milk solids, known as khoya (kova), are kneaded into a dough, with a small amount of flour, and then shaped into small balls and deep-fried in ghee on a low temperature(flame) of about 148°C till they get their familiar golden brown color. The fried balls are then soaked in a light sugary syrup flavored with green cardamom(ilaayachee) and rose water, saffron for a better taste
